Time is always my biggest enemy on a wedding day. It really helped that Elyse was even more time-conscious than I probably was. Everything happened right on time, pictures went very smoothly, and we even showed up to the reception early.

Elyse, Matthew, and their wedding party were very easy and fun to work with. We got some great shots!

Elyse and Matthew had their reception at Morganstreet Brewery at Laclede's Landing. The walls were all brick, lots of windows - really neat. And the food was awesome.

Engaged! Phil & Alyssa

Phil & Alyssa are friends of Mike and I's and I was so happy when they asked me to do their engagement photos. They've been together for like.. ever.. and I'm just so happy for them. I dragged them around all over St. Louis (well, just Lafayette Square, Soulard, and a homeless person hangout under a bridge) and they were such good sports. Alyssa - thanks for being so darn photogenic - you should be a runway model. Phil - you did pretty great too :)

Playing with light.. and my son.

Today I decided to refresh my memory a bit by practicing some backlighting and lens flare techniques. Jack, of course, was the model. He is stuck being my model until I get sick of the camera.. which I don't see happening. How could I ever stop photographing that beautiful face?
