Forest Park Engagement Portraits | Allie & Matt | Film
It was a beautiful October day and Allie & Matt came from Columbia for their engagement session. I've fallen back in love with Forest Park, after getting a little bored of it. There wasn't a cloud in the sky, and their session was in the evening. Everything worked out perfectly. Allie is so adorable. She has a great smile and her and Matt were a lot of fun to hang out with. I even lost track of time. I shot a lot of film for their session, which is something I'm going to be doing with my 2014 couples for their e-sessions and weddings. I was thrilled when I received that e-mail telling me the scans were ready and I'm in love with every picture (thanks FIND lab). I love the digital pictures too and I've included my favorites at the end. Their wedding isn't for another year but I know time will fly by quickly.

We love Rombach's | Film
I've lived in St. Louis my whole life. I grew up in the county, moved to the city as a young adult, and then moved back to the county. Rombach's was always a yearly tradition. My mom took me there every fall as a kid. Here is a picture of me looking awesome with the pumpkins -

So I've made it a yearly tradition to take my kids there as well.

Larimore House Plantation Wedding - Travis & Christa on film
A couple of weeks ago I shot film for the first time during a wedding. I only took about 16 exposures and now I wish I had taken more. I can't wait to shoot some film for my wedding this weekend.
These were processed & scanned by Indie Film Lab.

My Boys | Film
I really do have the perfect subjects. Yes, Jack whines about getting his picture taken. And Nico never stops moving. But I couldn't think of any 2 more perfect people to photograph on film. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays are usually open for us and we try to go somewhere fun on each of those days (we hate being stuck in the house). On this day we went to one of our favorite places - Creve Coeur Lake Park. To Jack, it feels like we are in Florida again and he loves it. It is very difficult for him not to get all the way in the water. But, well, it's not the cleanest. So I tell him, just the feet. It was Nico's first time there and he made several attempts at running in, full speed. Which made taking this pictures a bit difficult. But I'm so glad at how they turned out. Waiting for the scans to come in is brutal, but I love how I didn't have to edit these film shots at all.

And my favorite..

I shot a couple rolls of film during my last wedding and I can't wait to see how they turn out.. got to wait about 7 more days for those.. !
